It's that time of the year when school systems are actively looking for the BEST and BRIGHTEST to join their faculties and serve students across Georgia. Secondary Science and Mathematics teachers are in high demand and, as some of the most desirable candidates, our Piedmont Woodrow Wilson Fellows had the opportunity to get some practice honing their interview skills and meet potential employers at our annual Mock Interviews early this month. The process was a bit like "speed dating" where Fellows sat down for 7 minutes with each interviewer, then rotated to meet with another. Clarke, Cobb, Habersham, Hall, Gwinnett, and White County school districts were represented along with some Piedmont faculty who lent their expertise. Fellows are currently busy completing edTPA, building comprehensive portfolios to demonstrate their readiness to become professional STEM educators. If you know any of these amazing Piedmont Fellows, pat them on the back for their hard work!
The cohort is also beginning to plan for this summer's third annual Piedmont College Woodrow Wilson STEM Camp... stay tuned for more information! Click HERE to see some memories from last summer's camp. We're very proud of this amazing group of soon-to-be high school STEM teachers :)
